What is Ethash? A List of all Ethash coins – Ethash PoW algorithm

This is our second post on coin lists where we are going to make a list of all Ethash coins or Ethereum based proof of work coins. If you own AMD GPUs such as RX 470, 480, 570 and 580s then according to what to mine Ethereum is the most profitable coin to mine at the moment. Not just Ethereum, but basically any crypto currency that are based on Ethash PoW algorithm. AMD RX series cards are known to hash better at Ethash than any other algorithm. So if you have one of those cards then ensure that its working on Ethash. Before we list coins that are powered by Ethash hashing algorithm we’ll make a quick note on Ethash.

What is Ethash?

Ethash is a Proof of Work hashing algorithm created specifically for and by Ethereum (ETH). The main reason for the creation of Ethash proof of work function is to resist ASIC machines. Yes, Ethash is ASIC resistant and it is memory intensive algorithm which can be mined only using your GPU. You can find more information on Ethash hashing algorithm here.
